Interscholastic athletics are an important part of your overall high school experience. It's a time to discover yourself and how you connect with the community around you. Interscholastic athletics provides opportunities for leadership, develops self-discipline and sacrifice, encourages good sportsmanship, and promotes loyalty to the school.

Interscholastic athletics support the overall mission of Pope John Paul II High School - to communicate Christ.

Pope John Paul II High School will add one class each year until the school's first graduation in 2011. Owing to the uniqueness of these circumstances, Pope John Paul II High School athletics will follow a four-year implementation plan. At the completion of this four-year plan, PJPIIHS will offer a comprehensive, competitive program of interscholastic athletics that promotes excellence and good sportsmanship.

Pope John Paul II High School is a member of the Massachusetts Interscholastic Athletic Association (MIAA).
