JPII HS Adds Boys Soccer
to Growing Interscholastic Athletic Program
Pope John Paul II High School announces the hiring of Patrick Colbert as head boys soccer coach at the Hyannis school. The three-year old school is a member of the newly formed Cape & Islands League.
This will be the first year for boys’ soccer at the JV level. Girls’ soccer begins its third year this fall. Additionally, JPII HS offers football, cross country, and golf in the fall.
Mr. Colbert has been the head coach of the Cape Cod ReUnited FC under-13 boys’ team, a Massachusetts Premier League (MAPLE) club. Their recent performance at the state level earned them a spot in MAPLE Division I as one of the top ten under-13 teams in Massachusetts.
He is currently the Coordinator of Operations and Officiating with the Eastern Athletic Conference (ECAC) in Centerville. He will be the Director and Coordinator of the 2011 ECAC Holiday Festival men’s and women’s basketball tournament in Orlando, FL.
Mr. Colbert was an eight time letter winner at Xaverian Brothers High School in Westwood, MA. He was a four-year starter on the Colby-Sawyer College (New London, CT) men’s soccer team leading them to their first ever ECAC Tournament berth in 2007.
